私の将来の夢は、人々が持つ潜在的なタレントを発揮でき、かつ結果的に幸せと感じることができる社会システムがどのようなものなのか、そしてどのようにしてそれが実現可能なのか、ということを提示することです。人々が各自の潜在性を発揮できるように自発的に努力していくためには、どのような市場、どのようなインセンティブ・デザインが必要なのか、そして政府はどのような役割（例：詐欺の防止、機会の平等、成果の保護と再分配など）を担うのか、などについて研究していきたいと思います。実証的かつ理論的なアプローチを取り、多くの研究論文と教科書および研究書を執筆していきたいと思います。また、日本・中国・諸外国で多くの学生を教えたいと思います。（大阪大学にて、2004年）
